Aluminum Railing Systems
Our aluminum railing systems come in five design options, from regular picket through wide picket, horizontal picket infill, framed glass, frameless glass, and cable rail, so the choice comes down to how much of the view you want the railing to keep open rather than which material will hold up. Every system ships in five premium colours with the same powder-coat finish underneath, which means a dealer can stock one line and offer a homeowner real design range without carrying five different products.
That powder-coat finish is doing more work than it looks like. Properly applied over prepared aluminum, it resists the freeze-thaw cycling, road salt spray, and UV exposure that wear down painted wood and rust bare steel, and it does it without an annual coat of stain or paint. Pair that with posts that arrive pre-assembled, and the install goes faster than a stick-built wood or steel guard: there is no priming, no painting, and no waiting on weather to finish a coat before the railing is safe to use.
Cable Rail and the two glass options are the systems dealers are fielding the most questions about right now, since homeowners are asking for railings that keep a view open rather than boxing in a deck. Cable rail keeps that openness at the lowest cost of the three and uses marine-grade 316 stainless steel cable and hardware so it holds up in coastal and high-humidity conditions as well as it does in a dry interior climate. Frameless glass gives the most unobstructed sightline and the strongest wind block of any infill we offer, which matters on an exposed second-storey deck. Framed glass sits between the two, giving a cleaner sightline than picket infill with more structure than a frameless panel. All three, along with every picket option, are independently tested and certified to meet or exceed National Building Code guard requirements, and carry our limited lifetime warranty.
Aluminum Railing Accessories
Our accessories are designed exclusively for use with Vista aluminum railing systems, so a dealer never has to guess at fit or finish match. Selecting the right accessory usually comes down to matching it to the railing system already on the job: a cap/drink rail adapter works with wood, composite, or vinyl cap material and turns a top rail into a usable ledge for drinks or planters, while a gate needs to be matched to the infill style, opening width, and swing direction of the run it’s joining, whether that’s a single gate, a double gate, or a pool gate.
Every gate ships with the latch, catch, and hinge hardware needed for the install, and goes through the same powder-coating process as the railing itself so the finish matches perfectly instead of standing out as an obvious add-on.
Fascia mounting brackets, cable infill panels, and pipe handrail round out the accessory lineup, letting a dealer finish a stair run, retrofit an existing deck, or add a code-compliant handrail to an interior or exterior stair without sourcing parts from a second supplier.
